The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with some members of the Awutu Bereku community, arrested four persons yesterday, December 10, 2024, for allegedly stealing building materials meant for the Agenda 111 Hospital construction in the Central Region.
The suspects were arrested after a Man Diesel Truck, with registration number GT 8715-Z, driven by one of the suspects, Kwabena Ayamba, was intercepted. The truck was loaded with assorted building materials.
According to police investigations, the suspects were contracted by the project contractor to transport the items from the Agenda 111 project site to Tema.
The suspects are currently in custody, assisting with investigations.
Efforts are underway to arrest the contractor, who will face justice for their alleged role in the theft. This incident brings the total number of suspects arrested in connection with post-election disturbances to 110.
