Mr. Alan Kyerematen has highlighted his leadership roles as the former Trade Minister, where he played a significant role in promoting trade and the industrialization agenda in Ghana.
Presidential candidate hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has expressed his confidence in his ability to lead Ghana to prosperity, stating that voters across the country have identified his capabilities and the formula to develop and strengthen the economy.
Speaking during his cluster tour of the Volta Region, Kyerematen called on NPP delegates to elect him as the next Presidential Candidate, emphasizing that he is a favorite among the 10 aspirants.
Kyerematen highlighted his leadership roles as the former Trade Minister, where he played a significant role in promoting trade and the industrialization agenda in Ghana. He stressed that Ghanaian voters, numbering around 6 million, are specifically calling for him to become President and that NPP delegates hold the key to setting him on the right path.
Addressing the delegates, Kyerematen emphasized the importance of selecting a leader who can be marketed to the entire nation, as voters are looking for a candidate who can win the presidency, not an opposition leader. The delegates responded unanimously, chanting "Alan!" in support of his candidacy.
Mr. Kyerematen assured the NPP of securing 80% of the total votes from the Ashanti Region, his hometown. He also expressed his determination to make inroads into the Volta Region, traditionally seen as the stronghold of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), by reducing their voting patterns. He recognized the significant role the Volta Region would play in his quest to become the NPP's Presidential Candidate and ultimately the President of Ghana.
Furthermore, Kyerematen promised to prioritize the development of the Volta Region, aiming to fill the vacuum left by the late Former President Jerry John Rawlings. He assured the region that it would be held in high esteem under his government.
With his strong belief in his capabilities and the support he has garnered from voters, Kyerematen presents himself as a promising candidate for the NPP, advocating for his election as the Presidential Candidate in 2024, with the goal of leading Ghana towards a prosperous future.
