NPP Accuses NDC of Plotting to Rig 2024 Elections
NPP Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made serious allegations against its main opposition, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing them of plotting to rig the 2024 general elections.

According to the NPP, they've uncovered a secret NDC document drafted in 2021, outlining strategies to disrupt parliamentary processes and block revenue bills.

The NPP claims this is part of the NDC's crude, undemocratic, and unpatriotic attempts to frustrate the government's stabilization efforts.

NPP's Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, made these accusations at a press conference, commending the NPP majority in parliament for resisting the NDC's alleged attempts to incite chaos.

Interestingly, the NDC has also made counter-accusations, alleging that the NPP and Electoral Commission officials are plotting to disqualify their parliamentary candidates ¹. The NDC made these claims at a press conference, stating their intelligence suggests collusion to undermine their electoral chances.

These allegations highlight the tense political climate in Ghana ahead of the 2024 elections. Both parties are trading accusations, each claiming the other is attempting to undermine democratic processes.
