The church and Archbishop Charles Agyinasare have faced criticism from the public after the founder referred to Nogokpo as the "demonic headquarters" of the Volta Region during a sermon.
With just 11 days remaining on the 14-day ultimatum issued by the chiefs and residents of Nogokpo for Archbishop Charles Agyinasare to report and engage in peace talks, the founder and leader of Perez Chapel International has urged members of the church to persist in their one-week fasting and prayer session.
The objective is to seek breakthroughs and overcome any obstacles on the path to new levels of victory.
Perez Chapel International recently declared a one-week fast accompanied by prayers for all its members across the globe, in response to the ongoing Nogokpo controversy.
The church and Archbishop Charles Agyinasare have faced criticism from the public after the founder referred to Nogokpo as the "demonic headquarters" of the Volta Region during a sermon.
In light of the backlash, the Archbishop issued an apology during his Sunday, May 28, 2023, service, clarifying that his comments were not intended to denigrate the people of Nogokpo or the entire Volta Region.
He explained that he had shared examples of encounters with manifestations of demonic powers during his global crusades, which included an incident that occurred after a crusade at Aflao. The Archbishop emphasized his cordial relationship with the people of the Volta Region and expressed regret for any misrepresentations or misinformation surrounding his statement.
Despite the ongoing tensions and the approaching deadline set by the chiefs and residents of Nogokpo, Archbishop Agyinasare remains committed to his spiritual role in Ghana. In a Facebook post, he encouraged members of Perez Chapel International to participate in the powerful breakthrough prayer session to be held at the Perez Dome from 9 am to 12 pm.
The call for continued prayer comes as the church seeks divine protection and addresses the existence of evil forces.
During a recent summit at the Perez Chapel headquarters in Accra, the Archbishop discussed the importance of divine protection and shared examples to support his teachings, including the reference to Nogokpo as an area where he encountered spiritual forces that worked against a crusade he organized.
Amidst the controversy and the pressing deadline, Perez Chapel International strives to maintain its commitment to spiritual growth, unity, and victory. The ongoing fasting and prayer session serves as a means to seek divine intervention and overcome any obstacles that may hinder progress.
Members of the church are encouraged to actively participate and not miss out on the life-changing experience of joining their fellow believers in prayer at the Perez Dome. The church continues to navigate the Nogokpo controversy while reaffirming its dedication to serving God's people and the nation.
