Ghana’s Black Stars have shifted their focus to the upcoming match against the Central African Republic after securing a 2-1 victory over Mali in their third 2026 World Cup qualifying clash on Thursday in Bamako.

The team is now aiming to conclude June with another win against the Central African Republic in Kumasi.

The match is scheduled for Monday, June 10, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with kick-off set for 7 pm.

This win is of great significance for the Black Stars, as it has propelled them to second place in Group I of the qualifiers.

Kamory Doumbia put Mali ahead in the first minute of first-half stoppage time when the ball deflected off him following an attempted clearance.

Ernest Nuamah leveled the score just two minutes before the hour mark, thanks to a precise cross from Salis Abdul Samed.

Jordan Ayew, who was brought on with just about five minutes remaining in the match, scored the decisive goal in the 94th minute, elevating Ghana to second place in Group I.
